Community Service Programs of West Alabama (CSP), Inc. wants you to explore the possibility of homeownership!
On Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 9:00am to 3:00pm, attend a free Path to Homeownership Seminar and Workshop designed to break down barriers of misinformation that keep many individuals from considering homeownership. The workshop will be held on the campus of Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa.
The seminar, a collaborative community effort with not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, will provide straightforward information and advice about all aspects of homeownership, including costs associated with home buying and credit history requirements. For example, a 20 percent down payment and perfect credit are no longer the industry standards for getting a mortgage.
“So many people don’t realize that owning a home is within their grasp,” said Antwon Prince-Sealy, Senior Housing Counselor for CSP. “It’s important to get the right information about home buying into our communities. Buying a home can be intimidating and knowing what information to trust can be challenging. The Path to Homeownership Seminar and Workshop will provide accurate facts about homeownership.”
