CSP provides its core services to those in need throughout a 10-county area, encompassing Bibb, Choctaw, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.
In addition, CSP provides Head Start services in a six-county area: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, and Tuscaloosa. Early Intervention services are provided in Bibb, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.
As a community action agency, the governance body is tripartite, composed of one-third elected officials or their representatives, one-third business/civic organizations, and one-third low-income individuals/organizations.
Housing Programs
The Housing Programs Division is headquartered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and serves 11 West Alabama counties by providing various housing initiatives including new housing developments (both single family homes and multi-family units), weatherization, home rentals, and a robust financial capabilities program.
